Many of you already know a bit about the Camp Lost World project, but just in case, I'll review. Camp Lost World is an eco-tourism project in a very remote location in NW Ecuador. The intent is to create a place where people can get off the gringo trail and explore a wild part of Ecuador's mountains. The vast majority of our 225 acre property will remain protected wilderness to provide a habitat for the flora and fauna that make this place special. Part of the adventure of Camp Lost World is getting here. There is no road, and for where you park, it's one and a half hours walk along a well marked, but sometimes strenuous trail. The nearest town is la Merced de Buenos Aires, which is 2 hours from Ibarra and four and a half hours from Quito. You can visit the Camp Lost World blog here for updates on the project. My intention for this forum is to create a place for organizing volunteers and disusing the project plans. If you are interested in joining us, please introduce yourself in the volunteers thread.
