Give a shout out if you want to be part of this project. Introduce yourself and let us know how you think you might be able to help. We will be ready for volunteers as soon as we have a few cabins built to host people. At first, we'll be looking for people to help build cabins and trails, remove invasive plants, build fences, and plant gardens. Eventually, we'll be needing some folks to help with the day to day running of the place as well. Volunteers are offered free room and board. There are a few folks with highly needed skills that will also be offered a little piece of the property in exchange for full time volunteering. I'm assuming most volunteers will want to make a smaller time commitment, so you'll have free time to explore Ecuador.

In one of my brainstorming session, the idea to maybe do some micro-distilling and mead brewing came up. This opens up a new set of skills for potential volunteers. Mead will require beekeeping and wine making/brewing skills. Both mead and distilling will require some tech/science skills. Please help spread the word to folks who might be able to help.

Hey, I'm Noah, and I'm really interested in this project. I'm a young, queer adult with an interest in homestead-y stuff and working to build space. I've got experience with pretty much all of the above, though much of it is recent and in the context of the middle tennessee rather than northwestern sierras of Ecuador. Regardless, I think I could be of some pretty good assistance and learn a bunch of shit. I'd like to get some more information about the intentions behind the space/how it works in tandem with nearby communities and ecosystems. I want to be more educated about the space but this sounds like a beautiful place and I'd love the opportunity to work with it and the folks who are a part of it.
If you'd like any further details regarding my experience, I'll expound further. Thanks!

Hi Noah, welcome to the forum. How did you find us? So far all the other volunteers involved have been long time friends of mine, and I haven't successfully managed to get them to migrate from facebook to the forums for the project. If you haven't seen it yet, there's a little more info at camplostworld.blogspot.com/ which is a little blog I created for the project. We're in the early days, so everything is still a little disorganized. Since these forums are very new, I don't know exactly how they will work. Let me know if you get an email notification or anything notifying you of a response to your post.

I was told about this project by my sister, Heather Lundquist. Disorganization at this point in the game is pretty dang understandable; infrastructure takes time to build. This forum build seems to email you if a thread you've posted in is posted in by another user, but I'm sure there's settings that can be changed.
My communication in the future may be sporadic (I'm kinda at the tail end of a lot of impoverished travelling and as a result computers are something I don't hang out with a lot of the time), but I'd like to communicate more concerning this project either via email or perhaps another thread on these forums.
